23wk appt update & Baby Summary

I went to see my ob today for my 23wk appointment and shockingly, I was in and out in 30 minutes! This is a new record! I love my ob, so I don't complain too much. The peds office on the other hand, ugh don't get me started... Anyways, appointment was pretty boring, which is always a good thing! Blood pressure was good (didn't catch the #'s), I'm up about 2lbs, heart tones were in the 150's. Fundal height is measuring 25cm. She asked if I wanted to meet any of the other doctors in the practice, I told her I didn't care really. She said she will be working a lot over the holidays (except Christmas day) and doesn't have any vacations planned, so chances are she will be the one that delivers me. However, I probably will have a few appointments with the other docs closer to the end. I see her again in the beginning of October and after that we will switch to every 2wks.

Baby Summary:

How far along I am: I'm currently 23weeks.

Weight Gain: I'm up 2lbs. I don't feel like my belly has grown much lately. Maybe the 2lbs went to my butt.

How I am feeling: Great! I could be 23wks pregnant forever! I feel good, I have my energy back (for the most part), I'm loving all the kicks that I can feel and see.

Cravings: Carmel popcorn, frozen decaf coffee drinks, hot tamales, peanut M&M's... hmmm, I guess I could have summed this up with SWEETS!!! Too bad my favorite caramel popcorn and frozen coffee place is inconveniently located downtown. Or maybe that is a good thing...

What I am looking forward to: 24wks is when they say that baby is viable. While I don't want this baby to come a day before 39wks, it's nice to know that I have a big baby growing in me that has better odds of surviving every day!
