Christmas Card Time!

It's that time of year again!  Our tree is up, Christmas lists have been organized and now it's time to work on our family Christmas card!  I was very excited when I came across a special offer from Tiny Prints for bloggers this year.  I've never used them in the past, but I've definitely taken note to the cute, quality Christmas cards I've received in the past from friends and family and many of my favorites come from Tiny Prints so I'm so excited to try them for myself!  Once again, I found it to be a pain in the ass extremely difficult to get a decent picture with a (almost) 2, 3 and 5 year old, so I'm thinking of using this one from this summer!

You can check out the super cute christmas card collection at Tiny Prints by clicking here:  http://www.tinyprints.com/shop/picture-christmas-cards.htm

Can't wait to see what you all come up with this year!

Brody is in Preschool!!

My happy little guy had a great first day!

Here is his class photo! He goes to church school with the little red head he is sitting next to. Aaron said the kid on the end thought he was on a roller coaster, ha ha ha!!

Brody said he was biting his lip because he "was feeling a little shy".

School is going great for him. He LOVES the arts and crafts the most and always comes home with at least one painting every day he is in school. (I think Jacob brought home ONE painting his entire two years in preschool). He struggles a bit with sharing and sitting still for the entire circle or story time, but he'll get there! My favorite memory from his first day was when we were all sitting at circle time and one of his classmates was really struggling with sitting still and kept playing with anything he could find around him. Brody turned around to me and said, loudly, "Mom, THAT boy isn't being very nice to my school!!" Oh how I love this kid. He's got the brightest spirit of anyone I've ever known.

Austin's new big boy bed!

Austin's crib was recalled and we decided on a whim to return it to the store. Aaron's surgery was quickly approaching and it wasn't something he wanted to worry about returning in a cast or in the snow, if we waited until his cast was off. The good thing about doing it this way was that I didn't have time to get sad that our house is now crib-free and my baby is a big boy :(

Initially, all three boys were very excited about the new Lightning McQueen big boy bed:
But apparently Austin didn't find it very comfortable. This was how I found him the morning after the first night. Somehow, the edge of a rocking chair provided more security than a new McQueen big boy bed.

But then he adjusted and I started finding him like this:

And like this:

And quite often I find him like this and discovery he has retrieved the framed photo of Aaron and I from his book shelves and brought it to bed with him. Bless his sweet, little heart....

A few more Summer Beach Pics...

Austin discovered the Napa Toyota does well in the sand, too:

A lot of times the storms will form over land... this was one of those days. It was beautiful at the beach, but the sky sure did look ugly inland:

More dark skies:

Lil' Brody:

Jacob rarely slows down at the beach:

We frequently see Deer, foxes & bald eagles either at the beach or on the drive to the beach. Here is a mom and fawn to the left of momma:
