Six Lakes
Last weekend (well, Thursday and Friday) we packed up the pop-up and made the 2hr drive down to Six Lakes to visit my Aunt & Uncle, cousins and their families at their RV park. I'm fairly certain we had the only pop-up in the RV park filled with fancy "park homes" and trailers with huge add-ons, but no one seemed to mind that we were "bringing the park down" :) But it worked out great for us to have our own space. The park is super nice though with a playground, pool, couple of golf holes, tennis courts and, of course, a lake. It rained on us just as we arrived and then cleared up until we went to bed on Friday night. Then we got to sleep under a huge maple tree during a crazy storm - not very comforting! But it passed quickly and was clear for us again until Aaron was packing up the pop-up and got drenched! Overall though, it worked out well because we still had nice weather when we went to the pool and on the pontoon. Jacob and Brody loved playing with their second cousins and all their toys. Jacob loved the pool and stayed in there for hours. Brody wasn't crazy about it which was surprising since he loved it in Florida... go figure. Can't think of any good stories from our trip, but it was great to catch up with everyone! Hopefully we can manage a ski trip this winter.
I didn't take too many pictures, but I have a couple, I'll add them soon.
Boat
Saturday we made our way back home to drop off the pop-up, unpack and repack for a night on the boat. It was a beautiful afternoon and we made it there in time to have some pizza for dinner and do a little fishing. Aaron/Jacob caught one good-sized bass and then we called it a night. The kids slept pretty good on the boat, although Jacob fell out of his bed about 3 times. Luckily he just got himself right back in bed! Silly kid!
This week/weekend is the Harbor Days Festival so we are looking forward to spending some more time on the boat soon! Hope the weather cooperates!
Baby
Monday we received the good news that the final results for the sequential screen came back negative! Aaron was like negative sounds bad, but I guess in the medical world negative is good. I had the nurse give me the actual risk numbers but I can't seem to find the paper I wrote them down on anywhere. Probably boring to my readers, but I wanted to jot it down here since I use this blog for record keeping purposes, too. Off memory, downs was 1/5000, Tri 18 was 1/10,000 and I can't remember neural tube defects risk at all. Brody's numbers were 1/1700 and 1/10,000 which surprised me that they are better for this baby since I'm older, but I'll take it!
I guess it's time for another Baby Summary:
How far along I am: Today I am 17w2d according to ob (most everywhere else considers me to be 17w3d -but hey, what's a day...).
Weight gain: Well, I lost those 2lbs I gained at 11wks, so now I am back down to even. With Jacob and Brody, I usually lose weight until about 20wks, then gain pretty rapidly!
How I am feeling: Pretty good overall. I'm not quite as tired as I was in the first trimester, but I still don't feel like my old self as far as energy level goes. But, as a mom of two active toddlers and one on the way, I think I'm doomed to be tired for the next 20yrs or so! I'm still particular about food, but not usually nauseated anymore. Oh, and I think I have a UTI still waiting to hear back from the doctor on that one...
Cravings: No more chewy sweet tarts for me, right now I crave Otter pops and tomato soup. Last week it was Taco Bell and frozen coffee drinks.
What I am looking forward to: Obvious answer here... the BIG ultrasound!!! 4 more days, 4 more days... I'll add a gender poll to the left, but I think I know what everyone is going to guess... what are the odds of another boy, right?? I'm certainly thinking girl, but trying not to get my hopes up if we find out we've got another one for Aaron's Team Blue All-Family Fantasy Football Team. And, for the record an online psychic and the chinese gender prediction thing both predicted BOY. Not that I really believe those things, but it's fun to see where the guesses are... Oh, and as long as we are talking about guesses, Jacob is certain he is having a baby sister. I think it will take awhile for him to adjust to the idea of another brother because he is pretty convinced! We shall see...
I'm also looking forward to feeling movement! Every now and then I feel what I think is a kick or a roll, but it's just not consistent or strong enough yet for me to know FOR SURE. Sooo, getting eager for that to happen!

I would have voted "Brother", but I feel like little kids have a sense for things so I'm going with Jacob's hunch...
