After a very tearful week of processing the news that our family friend Sherry was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer, we made the decision to stick with our original plans and go down to Kim & Peg's for the night and send the boys (Aaron, Mark, Noah and Jacob) to the race the next day. We had a great time visiting with our friends and Kim and I practiced our art skills and made a few signs for the guys to take to the race the next day. Since Martin was visiting with Sherry in the hospital following her surgery, he did not get back to the track in time for the drivers meeting (where he needed to obtain the minors passes) so the boys weren't able to get in for the race. They still enjoyed the experience though and were glad they were able to show their support to Sherry!
