29 week ob appt and baby update

Wednesday I had my 29wk appointment and all is well. I passed my gestational diabetes test, but my iron levels have dropped a bit so I need to take an iron supplement (like I did with Jacob and Brody). My blood pressure was 110/60, I gained 4lbs in 2wks, heart tones were in the 140's and fundal height is 31cm. Baby was kicking throughout the whole appointment and let the doctor know he was in there! I also received my h1n1 shot (rec'd the seasonal flu 2wks ago) - glad to have those done with. My appointment was with a different doctor in the practice and well, I didn't care for her. She talked A LOT and was a little intimidating, which just makes me feel a little more comfortable with having an induction this time around with MY doctor!

Baby Summary:

How far along I am: I'm currently 29 weeks and 3 days.

Weight Gain: I'm up 16lbs total now, I believe. I think about 6lbs are due to the baby stuff and 10lbs due to all the nutty bars I'm eating!

How I am feeling: Pretty good! My pelvic bones are starting to ache a bit more and I had one day of bad heartburn (random - never experienced that before!), but overall I'm really enjoying being pregnant and I'm trying to soak in every bit of it since this will definitely be our last baby.

Cravings: Nutty bars! And apples, specifically honeycrisps.

What I am looking forward to: Labor and delivery! I'm having dreams of having the baby almost nightly and I'm getting really excited about welcoming this baby into the world. Although at the same time it makes me sad that this will be my last pregnancy - very bittersweet!

Concerns: Brody. I have a feeling my little mamma's boy is NOT going to handle this transition very well.

My next appointment is November 6th and I'll meet another new doctor then. Since we will most likely induce at 39wks, I'm at the 10 week countdown! I haven't even started pulling out the old baby clothes or buying diapers yet, but I pretty much have to move Brody's clothes and all into Jacob's room before I can do that. It's not the most convenient - sleeping, diaper changes in one room and changing his clothes in the other so I guess that is why I'm putting it off. I've got a few more weeks till nesting sets in! Oh, and I'm going to order some new wall letters in the name of.... AUSTIN :) So I'll go ahead and take down the baby naming poll and put up a link where you can guess height, weight and date/time of birth!

Here are a few facts to help you guess... Jacob was born at 40w1d and measured 8lbs 8oz and 21.5". He was born at 10:49pm. Brody was induced and born at 39wks and a few days and weighed 8lbs 11oz and 21.5". He was born at 6:11pm. An online psychic (not that I believe in that, but I thought it would be fun to try) accurately predicted the gender as a boy and also went on to say that the baby will be born on December 24th, probably around 9pm and weigh 7lbs 5oz. My doctor is on call a lot during the holidays, so while it is looking like we will induce at 39wks, we could schedule it on a variety of days during that time! Of course, baby could always come on his own anytime.
