Interesting night...

After several nights/weeks of Jacob sleeping through the night great, he gave us a strange one. He woke up 2 (maybe 3?) times complaining that his back hurts. Aaron, who was a bit sleepy, just took him potty and gave him a drink and went back to bed, I finally got up and gave him meds. Poor kid. So I thought that would be the end of it until I heard "Want gate on!!" from down the hall. The other night Aaron and I had a discussion that the gate is no longer necessary. Jacob rarely wakes up in the night and he can climb over it easily now anyway. So last night we decided to leave it off and I guess that was a mistake, because he INSISTED at 4 in the morning that the gate be returned to its proper place. Also funny to me was that each time he woke up he remained in his room, standing right at the doorway as though an imaginary gate was already there.

So not much else going on around here. Jacob's cold is 99% gone, Brody still has a runny nose. Aaron had today off since he worked last weekend, although we spent the day mostly apart. The boys and I went to lunch and shopping with Kyra and Cori while Aaron went snowboarding with the "big" boys. And is STILL snowboarding. Except the slopes closed an hour ago. Hmmm, something tells me there is drinking involved :) Tomorrow we are going to Jason & Janet's for a family dinner, then maybe to my parents to spend the night. Monday night we are going to Adam & Danielle's for Cam's 2nd birthday party and then Friday we will all be heading to Crystal to spend the weekend out there with Kim & Peg, Deb & Family and Dennis, Kyra and Cori - can't wait! Hopefully we will still have snow then since it's a balmy 42 degrees right now.
