401K, 457, 529, ING... oh yeah, and therapy.

I discovered last night it was time to set up another savings account. My sweet little Jacob has this thing about pointing out all of your imperfections and flaws. He is drawn to every freckle, mole, wrinkle, skin tag, blemish or just stretchy skin and he likes to point at it and say "What's that?" So last night we are sitting on the couch and Jacob, for the umpteenth time, says "What's that" when pointing to an imperfection and I told him it was my on/off switch. So he pushed on it and I closed my eyes and dropped my chin to my chest to pretend as though I turned "off". Then Jacob pushed it again and I perked up and said "hello!" enthusiastically. This continued at least half a dozen times and then I got bored. So he turned me "off" and went to turn me back on and I didn't move, this time I just said "Uh oh, mommy is broken." I didn't hear a response or feel his hands so I opened my eyes to find my child with the fear of God in his eyes, panic-stricken and ghost-white! I felt terrible!! Poor thing really thought he turned me off for good. So, ya we thought it would be a good idea to start preparing for his future therapy sessions. I see it going something like this... "Well doctor, it all started when I was two and playing this game with my mom..."

What else? Kindergym is back so that means spring is here! Right? I guess I'm not so sure since on our thirty minute drive we went through a blizzard. And then sun. And then blizzard. Jacob was in the back going "Mom, I can't see!" Me either kid... Kindergym was fun though, once we made it! I was really excited for it to start up this spring because I finally have a kid that will participate in Parachute time! Jacob thinks he is way too cool for that "group participation" thing, but I know it's right up Brody's alley. Except I didn't plan very well with Brody's nap and all and well, by the time Parachute time came Brody had enough. He ONLY wanted to be held. Ironically, Jacob decided to get a little more involved this time, go figure. It was still fun and they both did great, but maybe I need to make it out the door for the earlier class. Oh and there were two fights and luckily my kids weren't involved in either one :) Tomorrow is Brody's First Birthday party and I think we are all excited. Hopefully it's not too overwhelming for him. We get together weekly as a group of 13 (including our family), so at least he is used to that kind of organized chaos. I'll update with pics on Sunday :)
