Brody had his well baby visit today and good news is he is looking good. Bad news is I hate his pediatrician. Well, the pediatrician is ok, it's the office I hate. Here is a little run down:
11:30 - Arrived for appointment.
11:45 - Scheduled appointment time.
12:45 - Called back to room. Aaron has to leave, he has an appt at 1pm.
1:10 - Doctor arrives.
1:15 - Doctor leaves.
1:30 - Nurse arrives. She forgot flu shot.
1:35 - Nurse returns with all immunizations. Immunizations given.
1:45 - Checked out, scheduled next appointment. Which was already scheduled, but we had to reschedule because everything got off schedule when they called last month to move THIS appointment back two days because the doctor "wasn't available".
I could go on, but I'll just get to the more positive stuff. The nice thing was that Dr. Kuhn brought up Jacob's little ER trip first thing. He said these random things often happen and usually have no explanation. He did say that any type of mushroom could have given him that type of reaction. So, I was happy he brought it up. Still think he should have called the next day though.
On to Brody. Brody did great, smiling and talking to the doctor and nurses. He weighs 19lbs 10oz (a little less than 90th percentile), 27.25" length (90th) and 18.25" for head (a little more than 90th). In comparison, Jacob was 17lbs 8oz and 26.5" at his 6 month visit. He didn't mention what the milestones for this age were, but that he met them all (I guess based on observation). He had his roto virus immunization orally (which he took a lot better than his last two times - he is now done with that series) and then 3 shots, one of them being the flu shot. He only cried for the injection and was immediately content afterwards - thank goodness! I hate seeing him so upset. Now he just needs his second dose of the flu shot and then he can rest easy until 12 months! He has BOTH bottom teeth coming in and one is already through the gum. They are causing him a bit of pain and he was up last night at 3am. Luckily, he was soothed with some midnight snacking and a warm spot in bed in between mom and dad.

OMG! I cannot believe you waited that long!!! That is ridiculous! We never wait more than 5 min. at ours but in Detroit we could easily wait 45 min. at most. Ugh. There isn't any other options up there? I don't think I could tolerate that.
How's your owie?
Danielle,
I can't believe that you had to wait that long either. I would have been so ticked off. That is terrible. Maybe it's time to move closer to me....I never wait that long :)
