Brody - 7 months old?

(as of this weekend, anyway) That can't be right. Just seems so crazy. I remember Owen visiting this summer and he was 10 months old and was like a big boy, so I just can't believe my little Brody is going to be going through so many changes in the next 3 months! He is still my happy little guy though. Although I must say, he is much happier being held then he is sitting/playing (anything) by himself. Which is fun, but can be difficult when you actually want to get something done since Brody is in a stage where he likes to grab everything (not to mention he weighs 20lbs or so). I tried to shop with him in the stroller this weekend and he decided he will have none of that... he much preferred the bjorn so that he could kick, smile and talk with people. And also, help me decide what to buy... which was everything within his reach. Which was a lot, because he has quite the reach. I spent the majority of time in the store rehanging all the clothes Brody pulled off the hangers! But he is doing great and still a big boy, although I suspect a lot of kids will be catching up with him now as they are eating more solids. Solids have been slow going with Brody. He always seems excited to take a bite, then he realizes it doesn't taste so good. If only they tasted more like paper products, we would be in business... Brody can destroy a napkin, envelope, newspaper, grocery list, important receipt, etc. in a matter of seconds. And it appears that the more important it is, the better it tastes. Maybe Brody has a spy career in his future? Aaron jokes that when Brody is in school he'll be saying "I ate my homework" instead of "my dog ate my homework". The other silly thing in the life of Brody is his sudden opposition to sitting. He has been sitting up like a champ, but now every time we try to sit him down he does "stiff as a board", making it impossible for us to sit him down. It's really funny (to me anyways), I'll have to try to get a photo or video.

PS - I hope I didn't already blog about these tidbits, I often write blog posts in my head or I tell someone about them, then I forget what I've already written!
