Life with a two year old...

Here is my sweet, little (compliant) boy a year ago when taking his picture for his birthday invitation:

And here is my independent, free thinking, full of attitude, big boy from this week:

Don't get me wrong, he is still very sweet. But now it's only when he WANTS to be sweet. So what is life with a two year old like? Well, lately it's been fishing various items out of the toilet. This past week mommy has fished out a tennis ball, a cap to a pen and the letter "C". I don't know if those items are better or worse than items in the past which have included a brand new roll of toilet paper, completely unrolled into the toilet and the entire contents of the bathroom trash can dumped into the toilet. I know what you are thinking... haven't you ADULTS learned yet and started keeping that kid out of the toilet? After all, they do make toilet lid locks, not to mention the bathroom DOOR. Well, the tennis ball was due to an unfortunate error on my part leaving the door open while I was taking a quick (but not quick enough) shower. The other two? Well, potty training has been going great. In fact, every time we change Jacob's diaper he insists on going potty on the real toilet before a dry diaper is placed on his bum. This has become such a regular routine that, unfortunately, I keep forgetting to make sure his hands are empty before placing him on the potty. Sooo, I guess mommy needs to work on that because I don't see Jacob's fascination with dropping things in the toilet ending anytime soon *sigh*.

Brody is still doing the same (good), except his little face is breaking out in little red bumps. I think it is just normal newborn stuff, but I might call tomorrow to make sure. He is still getting up every 2-4hrs to eat at night and I think you can tell, he is certainly looking "plump" to me!!
