UPDATE: I took off the bandage for a minute last night and took some more photos. While I think it's looking a lot better, it suddenly feels... weird. I used to be able to move the toe without any pain or weirdness and now when I wiggle it to a certain degree (maybe 15 degrees?), it's the hardest thing to describe, but it just feels wrong. Like as though your elbow is bending the wrong way. It's like nails on a chalkboard. It's frustrating because I feel like I was making good progress and now I feel like I've done something wrong.
I think overall it looks a lot better than Tuesday! If my left foot looks more tan it's because of the betadine, I can't get that foot wet yet to wash it away. As for the rash... um, Julie??? What the heck am I allergic to?
**************
I had my foot redressed today at the doctor so I was able to get to see what it looks like. If you would like to see it, click here! It's pretty bruised, but the swelling is minimal!
I'm doing well and I'm in a lot less pain than I expected. My incision is sore, but my joint hasn't bothered me until last night (shortly after Jacob decided to quickly slide off the couch... and over my foot). In general, the foot bothers me the most in the evenings which is about the only time I have been taking medicine the past few days - and just mortrin or tylenol. I stopped taking the prescription stuff on Wednesday, I believe.
My appointment today was just with the cast tech, next Tuesday I will have the stitches removed and *think* I will see the doctor.

I was waiting for this post :) I couldn't resist looking at the pic again, LOL. Glad you are healing well and hope to find you on the treadmill soon enough! Take care and watch out for those munchkins of yours!
Looks like you are behaving w/ no swelling! great! You are going to be back on the treadmill before me!
Oh sweet Lord, I shouldn't have clicked on the picture! LOL
Are you up and moving around on it or no?
Yay! more pictures! LOL As far as it feeling 'wrong' it's probably stiff and probably still has swelling inside - I'd say that's what you're feeling. The rash...are you putting topical antibx on it? Has there been any tape/adhesive on it by chance? I'd say you have an allergy of some sort. Is it itchy? Maybe you caught Riley's rash! LOL If it's itchy you could try a little low dose hydrocortisone cream. Otherwise, save it for the doc, what, next Tues? Looking good though! Are you up on it alot?
