We went for a quick camping overnight on the 8th and the kids LOVED it! I enjoyed myself until about 9pm. Then I was kind of over it. The kids wouldn't go to sleep, sleeping itself was brutal (5 is just too many for a pop up) and I hate waking up smelling like smoke. I started rolling around about 5:30 a.m. and was conflicted with wanting everyone to wake up so I could put an end to the "sleeping" and wanting everyone to sleep in as long as possible so they weren't too grumpy on Sunday.
Despite this experience, I was still convinced to go camping yet again THIS weekend with the Shadduck family. Thankfully this campground has a camper available for rent so I'm *hoping* the extra space, shower, bathroom and air conditioning make a difference. The boys are beyond themselves excited!

The boys favorite camping pastime was scaring their mom by running down the hill and losing control just in time for the fire pit. Thankfully everyone survived without any burns.
