We had the BEST time camping with the Shadducks!! Luckily the campground had a 35" camper available for us to rent, so we took advantage and I learned something important... my style of camping involves: a sink, shower, bathroom and air conditioning.
The kids are all very close in age (Kyra just turned 7, Jacob is 6, Leah will be 5 in a few days, Brody is 4, Austin and Owen are 2 and about 4 months apart) and had SO MUCH FUN playing together. Jacob and Leah had an extra special bond and Jacob even said he wants to marry her! It kind of freaked us out at first since my mom is cousins with Charissa's dad, but thankfully since our Grandma's were both adopted they don't share a bloodline, hahaha!
Friday we arrived and just played at the campground, ate dinner and made smores. The boys went to bed fairly well, all things considered, and they LOVED their bunkbeds. Saturday we woke up, packed a lunch and headed for the park. We played at this HUGE playground and then headed to the beach around lunch time. We stayed there for a few hours then returned for showers and dinner. After dinner we went out for ice cream and then back to the campground for bed. The adults enjoyed fireside beverages once the kids were in bed, of course!
We can't wait to do it again, but we REALLY need to figure out this camper situation!
