Well, it finally happened...

Jacob succeeded in his quest to destroy our kitchen floors. Earlier this week Jacob was "washing dishes" in the sink when I took Brody back to his room to change his diaper. While back there I could here Jacob excitedly say "Waterfall" several times. I really thought nothing of it, because he frequently says that when he fills up a glass with water and then pours it out. But I should have been tipped off by the level of excitement in his voice... So as I am walking down the hall towards the kitchen, I hear the sound of... well, a waterfall. Jacob had discovered that if you push the faucet all the way back, the water will hit the counter instead of the sink, flood our counters and then "waterfall" off the counter onto our floor. Our floors aren't destroyed exactly... it's not like they need to be replaced tomorrow, but when examined closely, you can see the damage :( Oh boy, he certainly is creative...

Weaning is going alright. Brody is not too pleased and drinks very little formula. He is now down a lb from his weight at 9 months :( What a stinker. On the positive side though, he has been sleeping pretty well despite his lack of fluids!

Oh my, mama! You've got a little bugger on your hands, don't you!?? I'm glad to hear that the floors will be ok for now anyway...sorry to hear that weaning isn't going so well yet. He'll get the hang of it soon.
