In October, Mom graciously watched the boys so Aaron and I could go on a couples trip the the Upper Peninsula! We haven't been there for a recreational visit in 9 years! Amber's family cabin is in Strongs and was a little more rustic than I'm used to but it did have electricity and running water! Our heat was provided by a wood stove which meant it had two temperatures... sauna and igloo. We had SO MUCH fun though and laughed so hard all weekend long. Friday when we arrived we cooked out and then played lots of cards. Saturday we did a lot of sightseeing visiting a heart shaped lake, Crisp Point Lighthouse and finishing off with hours at Tahquamenon falls! The fall colors were gorgeous. Sunday we packed up and headed home and along the way we stopped in Mackinaw City for a little wine tasting and lunch.
