Camping in Bear Lake

This spring they had a special offer for a buy one night, get one free at Kampvilla so we took advantage!  We frequently pass this campground on our way to Ludington and the boys have been eager to stay at the "dinosaur campground".  The first night of our stay we had a birthday party to attend, but thankfully since the park is so close we set up camp and then went to the birthday party.  Brody drove a youth quad for the first time at the party and while he initially was doing pretty good on it, he ended up crashing into the goat pen and flipping it over on himself!  It was scary for me, but he walked away unscathed.  Later however, I'm pretty sure he broke his pinky toe in the slip n slide bounce house.  ONLY Brody would crash and flip a quad and walk away without so much as a scratch and then later break a toe in a bounce house.  We taped his toes together and after a few days with a limp, he was good as new!   We returned to the campground later that evening and then the following day we swam in the pool, played on the playground and took a drive to the scenic overlook at Arcadia Bluffs.
