I woke up in Las Vegas in a king sized bed I had all to myself, in a hotel room that was all to myself, at the Mirage. When I checked my phone I had a text from Chris, Charissa's husband, asking if I would be interested in going on an overnight spacaction with Charissa. I was thinking... Um, this couldn't have come up at a worse time... but after I flew home, I mentioned it to Aaron and he was all for it. He said that after spending a few days alone with our lovely, but exhausting crew he knows now more than ever that I need a break every now and then. Even if I did just get one! So one beautiful day in May Charissa and I met in Gladwin (pretty accurate distance in between both of us) and stayed at a nice hotel on the river. Our package included the room, one spa service, a special gift and a restaurant credit. We met up and had a beer in the room while we caught up and then we went shopping in West Branch for awhile. We returned and had a great dinner outside on the patio overlooking the river. After dinner we went inside for another round or two at the bar. The next day we got wonderful massages, had a nice lunch, and then finished up with some pedicures. It was SUCH a nice experience!! So much fun to catch up with a friend and what an awesome place to do it!
