Tom & Gail's Wedding Weekend in Utah

Aaron stayed home with the boys while I joined Mom, Bruce, Mark and Lisa for Tom and Gail's Wedding in Utah.  I didn't officially decide to go until the last minute so by the time I booked I had slightly different travel arrangements than the rest of the family and ended up flying out of Grand Rapids by myself and then I had a couple hours to wait for the rest of the crew in Las Vegas.  I also woke up with the WORST cold and was in rough shape.  I felt so bad for the guy sitting next to me on the plane.  Once the rest of the family arrived in Las Vegas, we grabbed our vehicle and luggage and were on our way.  We stopped in Mesquite along the way and had dinner with Tom, Gail and Gail's family at Bruce's favorite Mexican restaurant.  I started feeling terrible and went out to the car to rest half way through dinner.  We then continued on our way to the hotel that Tom had already checked us in at and it was AWESOME.  We stayed in a 3 bedroom condo in Sand Hollow and it was beautiful and so spacious.  

The next morning we did a little sightseeing before the wedding.  We went to Zion National Park despite being a chilly, rainy day we had a great time.  The rain brought lots of waterfalls to the red rock cliffs, which are just impressive on their own without the waterfalls!  We saw deer in the N.P. and TONS of huge hares at our condo.  After touring the Park we had a nice lunch and then headed back to the room.  Lisa and I took a quick dip in the hot tub and then got ready for the wedding.  The wedding was outside along a river and was really beautiful.  Gail did such a nice job with all the little touches.  It was super cold so we ended up coming back to the condo and playing cards and enjoying some cake there.  The next day we drove to Las Vegas for the night before flying home the next day.

This is just a small portion of our deck at the condo.  It was HUGE!  And the scenery was awesome!
