Merry Christmas, everyone! We had a very nice little Christmas. Aaron had to work a lot this year, so we managed to celebrate with my family on the 23rd and then came home (by 4pm, since Aaron was on call) on Christmas Eve. We had a quiet Christmas Eve and then opened Christmas gifts early in the morning before Aaron headed to work at 8am. He was sad to leave, but the nice thing about living on site is that he didn't have to walk out the door until 7:57am and then we got to see him at lunch as well. Normally I would say he is home just after 4pm, but he was a little late today as they are getting ready to move fish (which helped make his day fly by, since he was very busy!). Luckily, my parents came by this afternoon to keep me and the boys company.
This Christmas felt very special to me because the boys are at such wonderful ages for believing in the magic of Christmas. This Christmas will also stand out to me because Jacob could read (recognize) the names on the name tags to distribute the gifts. It's just amazing how fast they grow and learn!
