Glen Lake

We decided to venture out to Glen Lake on Sunday, July 10th.  There was a heavy law enforcement presence in a search and recovery effort for a man that had drowned earlier in the week and thankfully they found him while we were out there using a cadaver dog (who knew dogs could find bodies in the water?!).

It was our first time out on the bass boat for the season and we had a blast!

4th of July - Aaron meets the governor!

Aaron had the opportunity to meet his most senior boss - the governor - on the Fourth of July!  The governor was in town vacationing with his family and made a stop at the hatchery so Aaron and a few other coworkers gave them a tour.  We had a long weekend of boating already, so we weren't the least bit upset to have Aaron spend a bit of the Holiday for this opportunity.  We made our way out on the boat once he arrived home, though.

Blue Angels!

On Friday, July 1st the kids and I were in town for Jacob's well child exam and we made it to McDonald's at the perfect time for some lunch and Blue Angels practice show!  It was their first show since they lost a pilot.

Later that afternoon, we made our way to the open ramp event where the boys got to see some planes up close and meet some pretty awesome pilots!

Memorial Day

Debby and family and their neighbors came up for the Bayshore Marathon again this year!  We met up with them at Crystal Mountain on Saturday for the Beer and Brat Festival and mom once again watched all 7 boys!!  On Sunday, Tom and Aaron went fishing while all the girls and kiddos went on a hike to Old Baldy.  Afterwards we went for a swim at Crystal and then came home to AIR CONDITIONING!  Aaron's buddies installed it on Saturday - best new home purchase ever!

Then on Monday, mom and I celebrated our birthdays (and Bruce's surgery recovery!) at Lochenheath!

Jacob's 2016 Baseball Season

This was Jacob's first year in the minors were the kids are pitching.  It was a tough year for all the kids since the pitcher's don't really have control at this point so the kids really have to be on their toes to avoid being hit by the ball, but overall they did pretty good and improved quite a bit throughout the season.

The line up!
