Jacob's Readers Theater Character Cafe

Jacob had a Dr. Seuss themed Readers Theater in March which was NOT ideal for a kid who just had an expander put in a few weeks before!  He struggled a bit with the S's but otherwise did great!

Jacob's locker bling!  AR reading goals, multiplication and division goals, Student of the month and character cafe all represented here:

Breakfast for being chosen as the student from his class for "Courtesy".

Receiving the award from the principal:

3rd Grade has been extremely demanding but Jacob has definitely stepped up to the plate.  We are very proud of his hard work and polite demeanor at school.  Good job, Jacob!

Winter Hike to Empire Bluffs

We took advantage of the lack of snow and took a hike to empire bluffs!  It was a little chilly, but the boys were troopers!  I only wore jeans and we stayed a little longer than I expected so my walk back to the car was faster than normal!  I couldn't wait to heat back up!  Totally worth it though :)

Winter fun

It was a very cold winter without a lot of snow.  The boys had 7 snow days this year - not too bad!  Here are a few pics to show what has been going on...

Jacob and other 3rd graders participated in Mosaic!  It was awesome and the kids did so good!

We saw a ruffled grouse on the way to school:

Austin did not handle daylight savings time well:

We took some private swim lessons and enjoyed some S'mores pizza after!

Roxy is working on her relationship with the boys:

Jacob has been doing a minecraft club at the library in Beulah.  It was such a nice change of scenery to come home when it was still daylight (and a sunny night to boot!).

Brody's eyes still mesmerize me:

Austin attended the Hughes girls 4th birthday party and got a little silly with a balloon:

Brody got to meet the Lyons' newest addition at 2.5wks old.  He proudly declared that he was "ready to be a dad".  GULP.

We enjoyed a sledding party with some friends:

Brody made a leprechaun trap!  Austin was impressed.

We did not get out skiing as much as we would have liked to this year, but the times we did were pretty awesome:

We saw some bald eagles flying over the school at pick up:

We had some snowy days, but the acadia handled like a dream:

We took advantage of one snow (cold weather) day by meeting up with cousins for swimming and pizza:

Aaron and I enjoyed an 80's hair band at Crystal:

Brody celebrated his 100th day of First Grade:

Fun in the snow!

Cheers to Spring 2015!!!!
